Bucksport High School, Maine

Aireau Shaker Dust Collector

WoodWorking Shop with Kirk Blum Clamp Duct System. Duct Installed by Down East Sheet Metal & Certified Welding, Brewer Maine.

DSHAY Air Systems provided duct layout.

        

 

 

K & E Plastics, Vermont

18,000 CFM system  United Air Specialist Model SFC-48-4 with Extended Dirty Air Plenum and Air Management Module for plastic dust collection.  A 50 HP Hartzell Backward Inclined Fan. System assembled and erected, including ducting by K & E personnel and DSHAY Air Systems' Inc. duct layout and project management.

New Hampshire Pharmaceutical Company

Dust Collection for tablet lines. United Air Specialist Model SFC-2-6 with bag out collars used in filter change out. Systems design provided by DSHAY Air Systems Inc. Installation was performed by in house personnel.

Plasma Cutting & Weld Fume Collection

Both Collectors have a capacity of 11,000 cfm The 48 cartridge unit is for Plasma Fumes with an Air to Media ratio of 0.8:1 and the 24 cartridge unit is 1.79:1 Air to media Ratio.

Northern Maine Saw Mill

This 3000 CFM systems was installed to capture saw dust at the saw cutting logs. Systems is equipped with a spark detection system and Abort Damper allowing the company to return the air to the building

Cabinet Making Shop

Cabinet Making shop using a Torit UMA 750 Dust Collector 3500 cfm 10 hp. Duct work is Kirk & Blum Clamp Duct. System designed by Bob Deshaies and provided the owners with a detail drawing of the duct layout. The KB Duct was installed by the owners, who had no prior experience in installing ductwork.

Gagne Pre-Cast Concrete Mixing Plant

Re-designed capture hoods and properly sized ductwork with new dust collector. Mixing operators no longer needed dust mask when mixing concrete.

Steel Fabrication Facility, Northern Maine

This unit is a UAS SFC model 24-3 rated for 12,000 cfm with a ground mount Cincinnati fan. This systems uses Kirk & Blum clamp duct system and Max Source articulating fume arms 8" diameter x 14 ' long.The systems captures weld smoke and grinding dust in a steel fabrication facility making logging trailer. Facility also includes 3 United Air Specialist dust control booths model MCB providing dust control in steel sanding and blasting area.

Bader Grinders

Pedestal grinders and a number of polishing machines polishing carbon steel and stainless steel. One system was provided with Kirk & Blum Clamp Duct systems and the other was provided with standard spiral duct. Both duct systems were designed by DSHAY Air Systems Inc. Dust Collector was a Torit DFO 2-16 designed for 5000 cfm.

Gagne Belgrade

The Dust Collector is a UAS Model SCF-12-3 Equipped with abrasion Inlet. The unit is rated for 3000 cfm. The Dust collected is from cement dust being loaded into a cement truck. After the dust collector was installed, the operators no longer needed a dust mask during the loading operation. The capture hood was a custom designed slot style hood wit a slot velocity of 2000 fpm.

Tom's of Maine

UAS Model SFC-6-2 Short Drum with side mounted fan and silencer. Unit is equipped with side mounted explosion and ducted outdoors. SFC-6-2 is rated for 3000 cfm

Northeast Packaging

Equipment: 3- Smog Hog SHN 20- 2000cfm each and 1 Smog SHN 40- 4000 cfm Electrostatic Precipitators
Contaminant: Smoke from forming of plastic bags
Prior to the SHN installation the company exhausted the fumes outdoors using exhaust fans through the roof. These exhaust fans also exhaust the heat for the building causing cold drafts to infiltrate and the employees had to wear jackets in the plant.
Now the Electrostatic Precipitators are capturing the exhausted smoke on collection cells in the EP and re-circulation the cleaned in the plant. Saving on heat and not putting the plant in a negative pressure.
